5 †»° March 1829, Harmony 4 32 Martin wants proof. Joseph is the proof. May not show plates without permission. Joseph's only gift is gift of translation §. After ordination, preach. Three witnesses to be called §. They will be empowered to see by the Spirit and hear God testify from heaven. If world won't accept their testimony earth will be scourged until empty §. Joseph not to yield to enticements of men §. Martin may see if he humbles himself, otherwise he will be condemned §. Cease translating for a time §. Enemies lie in wait to kill Joseph §.
6 » April [7–30], 1829, Harmony 5 8 Great and marvelous work. All willing are called §. Ask, knock, receive. Seek wisdom, not riches. Declare only repentance. Oliver to use his gift to learn the mysteries. Lord reassured Oliver on the night he prayed for it. Like Joseph, he can translate ancient records, including those that have not yet been revealed.
7 †»° April [7–30], 1829, Harmony 6 33 Jesus grants John his wish not to die. He will live on earth, preaching Jesus returns. John's wish is better than Peter's, which was to to go to heaven with Jesus right away. John will be like a ministering angel to heirs of salvation on earth. Peter, James, and John have the keys of this ministry until the second coming.

9 » April [7–30], 1829, Harmony 8 35 Because Oliver Cowdery stopped translating to write for Joseph, he should continue in that capacity. He may help translate other records in the future. Oliver thought all he had to do was ask, and the Lord would give him the translation. Following the proper protocols guarantees only inspired translations can be done.

June [1–9], 1830 24 2 Church organized April 6, 1830 by God's command. Joseph and Oliver called of God, ordained apostles and first and second elders of the church. Joseph became entangled in sin, repented and was visited by angel who gave him power to translate Book of Mormon §. We, the elders, heard and bear witness to the words of the Lord §. God is all power, understanding, through transgression man becomes devilish. The Only Begotten §. Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are one §. Justification and sanctification §. Sins forgiven, sin no more. Gather §. Wicked to burn §. Twelve Apostles to judge Israel §, then resurrection. But first, signs in heaven §, destruction, plagues §. Great and abominable church to be cast down by fire §. Men deny God after millennium, final destruction §. New heaven and earth §. Michael's trump starts resurrection §. Wicked to everlasting fire §. Spiritual creation before temporal creation §. All spiritual to the Lord §. Adam created to be an agent unto himself, succumbed to temptation, cast out of the garden §. Angels sent with gospel to give Adam opportunity to repent and be saved §. Until accountability, children cannot sin and are saved through the Only Begotten §.

35 * December [7–11], 1830 37 11 Sidney, like John, prepared the way for Elijah, without knowing it. Baptized unto repentance, but not Holy Ghost. Cast out devils, heal. Lord calls the weak. He will "let fall the sword in their behalf." Joseph has the keys of the mysteries. If he doesn't abide in the Lord, another will replace him. Sidney to be Joseph's scribe. Satan will tremble, Zion rejoice.
36 » December [11–15], 1830 38 57 Edward to preach. Sidney to lay on hands for Holy Ghost, then shout Hosanna. Others to be ordained and preach. Lord quickly to temple.
37 ** December [30], 1830 39 58 Suspend translating until Ohio "because of the enemy." Visit Colesville church. Gather in Ohio until Oliver returns.
38 ** January 2, 1831 40 12 Land of promise, riches, eternal inheritance. Lord will rule. Move to Ohio for the Lord's law, power. Sell, rent, sacrifice New York properties. Be clean, united, meek.
39 ** January 5, 1831 41 59 James Covill—be baptized, preach, go to Ohio, gathering, watch for signs of second coming (near).
40 *** January 6, 1831 42 60 James Covill gladly received the commandment, but Satan tempted him, feared persecution, rejected the word.
100 October 12, 1833 94 Joseph and Sidney are on their way to Mount Pleasant, Upper Canada (Ontario). Their families are well. The spirit will give them what they need to say at the right moment. Sidney is Joseph's spokesman and scriptorian, Joseph is his revelator. Zion will be redeemed, the Lord will raise up a pure people.
