July 31, 1832 God present before me
Trusts God, who sees him naked and does not forsake him   my only hope and confidence is in that God who gave me being in whom there is all power who now is present before me & my heart is naked before his eyes continually he is my comfeter & he forsaketh me not in the seventh trouble   Joseph to W. W. Phelps, July 31, 1832 in [SHOWREF=personal], 2nd ed., 269–270.

What does Joseph mean by God now is present before me ?

June 3, 1834 Zelph
While on our way we felt anxious to know who the person was who had been killed by that arrow. It was made known to Joseph that be had been an officer who fell in battle, in the last destruction among the Lamanites, and his name was Zelph. This caused us to rejoice much, to think that God was so mindful of us as to show these things to his servant. Brother Joseph had enquired of the Lord and it was made known in a vision.   ¶ Heber's Accounts of Zion's Camp (1)

[1835]   Order of the Seventy
93 And it is according to the vision showing the order of the Seventy, that they should have seven presidents to preside over them, chosen out of the number of the seventy; [43] ¶ D&C 107:93

January 21, 1836   Father and Son, Adam, Abraham, parents, Alvin
In the House of the Lord, Joseph has a vision of the Father and the Son, Adam, Abraham, his parents and his brother Alvin, in the celestial kingdom. Children who die before 8 years, and all others who would have received the gospel had they heard it before they died, inherit the celestial kingdom.   D&C 137

January 22, 1836   Visions through the night
I then observed to the brethren, that it was time to retire. We accordingly closed our interview and returned home about two o'clock in the morning, and the Spirit and visions of god attended me through the night.

Early 1838 Enemies pursue William Marks
[January 12-March 14], 1838
Joseph

Angel saves William Marks from enemies

… I would just say to Br. [William] Marks that I saw in a vision while on the road [from Kirtland to Far West] that whereas he was closely persued by an innumberable concource of enimies and as they pressed upon him hard as if they were about to devour him, & had seemingly attained some degre of advantag over him But about this time a chariot of fire came and near the place and the Angel of the Lord put forth his hand unto Br. Marks & said unto him thou art my son come here, and immediately he was caught up in the Chariot and rode away triumphantly out of their midst and again the Lord said I will raise th[ee] up for a blessing unto many people Now the particulars of this whole matter cannot be written at this time but the vision was evidently given to me that I might know that the hand of the Lord would be on his behalf

Joseph to the presidency of the church in Kirtland, March 29, 1838 in in JS personal, 223–224.
