  W. W. Phelps announces the subject of the meeting.    
Application for missionary license   William Harris applies for missionary license. Granted providing he first obtain a recommend from Bishop Edward Partridge.   In 1841 William Harris gives anti-Mormon lectures in Illinois and publishes Mormonism Portrayed. Its Errors and Absurdities Exposed … (Warsaw: Sharp & Gamble, 1841).
Applications for ordination   Elias F. Wells is granted permission to be ordained.  
Luman Gibbs is to wait a season before being ordained.  
  George Burkett is reinstated as an elder.  
  Samuel Brown is to be ordained.  
  George Morey applies, then withdraws his application for the office of elder.  
  Teachers Stephen Winchester and Wilford Woodruff, and member Heman T. Hyde, apply for ordination.   "… Brother Lyman Wight called a vote to recommend Brother Stephen Winchester Heman T. Hide and myself [14] to the high Council for Ordination. It was a full vote and at the next meeting of the high Council we were recommended by Lyman Wight, Amasa Lyman Elias Higby, and Zebedee Coltan all high Priests to the high council. And there was a vote taken and carried by the high Council to ordain us priests. And Brother simeon Carter was appointed to ordain us and we were ordained on the 5th day of November 1834."   Peter Dustin applies for recommend to go and preach the gospel. Granted. James Emmett makes the same request. Granted, to accompany Peter Dustin.  
  Simeon Carter is appointed to ordain Elias F. Wells, George Burkett, and Samuel Brown elders, and Stephen Winchester, Wilford Woodruff, Heman T. Hyde priests.  
  An unnamed speaker addresses the congregation on the duties of teachers and priests.  
  John Whitmer is to provide licenses for the newly ordained and missionaries.  
  Decided and sanctioned that there be no more slated meetings. The Elders may administer the sacrament if they see a convenient opportunity.   convenient: secretly
