he went from Kirtland through the eastern Branches, to aid in gathering
up brethren to go in Zion's Camp. He went up to Missouri the following summer
as a member of that Camp, and returned to Kirtland in the fall. |

He married Sarah Long,
Sept. 4th, who bore to him two children. Soon after his marriage he started
on a mission to the east, and went as far as Maine, preaching through the
States, baptizing and organizing Branches of the Church. He returned in
the fall.
